Thank you for smoking.
recently banning smoking in public places has been a topic of discussion on a certain thomas's blog. Even though i think that this is a great idea as i am asthmatic and passive smoking brings on my asthma. I cant help feel sorry for those who do smoke i mean they are having their fundermental right to be able to smoke freely taken away from them. Most of these people started smoking when smoking was the cool thing to do. All of the icons on T.V smoked. And fags were advertised on T.V. It has only been in the last few years that the dangers of smoking have came to light. Now T.V adverts advertising smoking are banned plus if a characters in a film or a soap is smoking they always seem to talk about giving up. The only problem left to deal with is all of those people who are now addicted to it. It doesnt seem fair to tell them know that they are not allowed to smoke when most of their lives they had been told to do so. I think that one of the biggest problems the government are going to face when trying to ban smoking in public places is defining a public place. Considering smoke can travel. Thank you for taking your time to read this post. p.s i am not trying to say that smoking is good and anybody who doesn't already smoke i advise you not to try it.

ok keeley you asked for it.
1.they was not told to smoke they decide to follow the celebs. there choice.
2.it wont be mean to ban smoking. it will make life better for the majority of people.
3.it will reduce the amount of passive smokers dieing young because it will be one less place for people who dont smoke to inhale someone elses first hand smoke.
4.i like the fact that my opinion made you feel like you needed to do a blog coz how you feel about smoking. its like ive started a chain. not a chain smoker hopefully. lol
people were told to smoke thomas because the government earned alot of money out of smoking so they put smoking every where so that people would by fags and they would get more money. And your other points are correct and i am not saying they are not.
well people were silly then. just part of the cult. but i do agree that the goverment wanted more money. its this capatalist society we live in.
but the thing is people didnt know it was silly because it wasnt known that smoking was a bad thing like for example rock music is a new cult that you are apart of and thats like saying that ur silly. I most certainly agree that there is a problem with living in a capatilist society.
