Rant and Rave

I havent had a good moan on here in ages so here goes. Firstly i want to moan about bus drivers and how pig headed and dam right rude they are. I was on the bus going home when the bus was just going past the bus stop. A young lad ran up to the bus and hit doors for the bus driver to open them. The driver sat their for a few minutes with the door shut then drove about 10 foot steps down the road. The young lad thought the driver wasnt going to let him on so by this time he was waiting at the bus stop. Whrn he had realised that the driver had stoped the bus he ran back over to the bus and hit the bus doors. At this point i said to the driver let the boy on the bus but then he drove off. then the lad tried to out run thr bus to the next stop but this did not happened. I thought that this bus driver should have acted his age and learn to grow up.

The second thing i need to moan about is people playing music on their mobile phones. A little while ago i read sarah's post which was moaning about young person playing music whilst on a bus you thought that was bad try doing your history course work when the person next to you is playing music but not even good music. When i told this person to turn his music off he told me it helps him concentrate, and isaid but it doesnt help me. and i was pissed off for the rest of the day. who ever invented music being able to play on mobile phones we need to have a serious word.

My last moan of the day is bikes. I no that bikes are very good for the environment because they do not release gases into the atmosphere. However if bikes are to be in the road then they need to stop at traffic lights. The amount of times i have nearly been hit by a biker who can't learn how to read traffic lights. this is really irretating. Laws need to be madeabout this lol.

Well thats my moan for the day. Take care everyone xxx

Envision

A little while ago i made a post about climate change. Saying how i had to get pledges for a Group called envision. Well today was the day it all had to be handed in. Me and my friend amanda headed down to tower bridge at lunch time where lost of students from london who are also involved with envision where creating a mural based on what the world is like at the moment and how we can change it.Plus we stuck thousands of feet all over the walls which where our pledges. We had a fantastic day and helped people findout more about climate change and what they can do to help. We also got an award and free food. You cant say no to free food now can you. lol.

The marriage of Figaro

Yesterday, myself with a small group of 6th formers went to the royal opera house in Covent gardens to see the marriage of Figaro. This way a completely new experience for me and most of the other people. Opera is one of those things you rather hate it or you love it. Being into drama I loved the stage and props used and the plot was fantastic. I am not used to Opera music however it was a good experience and I wouldn't mind going again. The Opera was also in sub titles which helped me understand what was going on since they were singing in Italian. There were a few things that I did learn one being, a vain male teacher on a train can really piss women passengers off. Two even the most cleverest person can get spell the most simplest word wrong and three umbrella fights are fun.

Big brother is watching you

In society today everybody is under surveillance in Britain. This was expressed in George Orwell's novel 1984. The novel was written in 1948 talking about a time in the future. Although the totalitarian dictatorship he expressed has never arrived the technology for an intrusive state certainly has. We are caught on camera more than 300 times a day. The UK has around 4.2 million working cameras, that is more than any where else in the world except china. The main problem with having this many cameras in operation is the fact that they can be used to build up mini profiles on people, which ultimately crosses the line between individuals and the government. I believe this is wrong and intrusive plus this is all part of the government's conspiracy against freedom of speech. The government have explained the increase of CCTV by saying it is in place to help lower crime, however in the early 90's when the number of cameras were increased there was no evidence of them being used to lower crime and they seemed to have had no effect. CCTV camera are being used to watch us daily. Do you agree that this is an invasion to your personal space?

Share how you feel to the ones you love before its too late !!!

About half an hour ago i got an email from thomas it red:
'hey guys,

i was looking through my contacts and i decided to send an e-mail to everyone i think is great.

and you are one of them..................YAY!' At first i thought what a wierdo but the more i thought of it, the more i thought it was a good idea. i mean if i died i wouldnt want the people i left behind feeling upset because they didn't tell me how much they cared for me. i no this message was put across in Ronan keating song but somepeople might not listen to that rubbish lol. So to everybody who reads this post i think you are a great person and it is very nice of you to take the time out of your day to read my site. And don't forget to tell the people who you care about how you feel about them

Thank you for smoking.

recently banning smoking in public places has been a topic of discussion on a certain thomas's blog. Even though i think that this is a great idea as i am asthmatic and passive smoking brings on my asthma. I cant help feel sorry for those who do smoke i mean they are having their fundermental right to be able to smoke freely taken away from them. Most of these people started smoking when smoking was the cool thing to do. All of the icons on T.V smoked. And fags were advertised on T.V. It has only been in the last few years that the dangers of smoking have came to light. Now T.V adverts advertising smoking are banned plus if a characters in a film or a soap is smoking they always seem to talk about giving up. The only problem left to deal with is all of those people who are now addicted to it. It doesnt seem fair to tell them know that they are not allowed to smoke when most of their lives they had been told to do so. I think that one of the biggest problems the government are going to face when trying to ban smoking in public places is defining a public place. Considering smoke can travel. Thank you for taking your time to read this post. p.s i am not trying to say that smoking is good and anybody who doesn't already smoke i advise you not to try it.

A step towards climate change!

At the start of my first year at collage, there were a number of different people who made prestentaion, to get us to sign up for their certain group. I like a fool signed up for most of them, then realized that i actually had to go lol. There was one group called envision. What they did was help us change certain things in our school. This seemed interesting, however once we got started we realized this was harder than it first appeared. There was 5 of us in a group but myself and my mate amanda were the only ones commited and we had to try and finish the whole project on our own. The project we chose was to hold a siging competition for lower years. However we never finished this. We have now finished envision without finishing our project. Next week there is a cermoney being held and we were told to go. However the cermoney theme is climate change and we were told we had to get around 500 pledges from our school. There are 4 catergories that you can pldge in. FOOD-I pledge to buy food locally. TRAVEL-I pledge to travel by coach or train to countries in Europe. ENERGY-I pledge to switch my tv of instead of leaving it on stand by. and finally STM-spread the message to 5 friends or family memebers. However this may have seemed easy but with only two members in a group this had proved to be difficult. plus we left it to the last minute and only started yesterday. So we went out with a sheet and it was amasing how many people pledged without evenig knowing what they were siging. They just saw other people siging the form and said "can i have a go." this just made me laugh because we could have been getting them to sign up for anything and they would not have even known. but now i feel upset that i didnt take the time to explain to them about climate change because this is something that i have a strong opinion on. And i do not know why i put a photo of a palm tree there. i think the main reason was becuase i took the photograph and roz always boasts about taking her own photos. lol

Pregnant women and their moods

Friday night me and my mother spend most of the night up the hospital with my pregnant sister. After she had eaten a chicken ball she was vomiting and she also had a head ache. Normally my mother would send her to bed with a head ache tablet, however there was an incident playing in my mum's mind. When I was about 9, the idiot I was, decided to jump for a 9 foot wall which resulted in breaking my foot. I was carried home my a friend and put on the sofa. My mum decided I had only twisted my foot, 5 hours later she realized something was wrong and we went to the hospital where the doctor told us I broke the growth bone in my foot. If it didn't heal correctly I could have ended up with one small foot. So because of this my mum took my sister up the hospital. We sat up there for 3 hours. We then learnt that there was nothing wrong, however they kept her over night. My mum had the hump all the way home. This has got me thinking how lucky we are to have medical centers whenever we need them unlike some poor countries that don't even have clean water let alone around the clock medical care. I feel lucky to be born in a rich country but I cant help feeling sad for those born into poor countries.

When will life mean life.

I have recently been following The Sun's campaign on judges being too soft on criminals. However I do not think that the judges are to blame. If they give a murderer a life sentence, then that person should be in prison for life. However the way our system works life only means 12-15 years in prison and that is not including parole. I believe that instead of blaming the judges the legal system should be re thinked. And finally life should mean life. I also believe that the death penalty should also be brought back, well actually we still have the death penalty in this country for one crime and that is treason. So if someone commits a crime against the queen then it is justified to kill them. Yet if someone kills three children and hangs there bodies on railing its not justified to kill them. How can this be. Bringing back the death penalty will also lower crime. If someone realizes that they could be killed for committing a crime they are more likely not to do it.

Every parents nightmare!

I feel devastated for the parents of Connor, Callum and Jack smith who are all suffering from ALD, which is a brain disorder. Most sufferers do not reach adulthood. No parent should have to bury a child. There are treatments that can prolong life but sadly there is not a cure. One treatment is a bone marrow transplant however Callum's form of the illness is to far along. There is still hope for the other two boys. All three boys need a miracle to survive. I think we should all pray.

Do we really need a monarch?

I was in a history lesson yesterday and the topic digressed from French revolution to why do we have a queen and is she really important. I have come to the conclusion that a monarch is outdated and we do not need a monarch to be proud of our culture. the Queen basicly has no political powers and doesnt do anything apart from wave to the crowd. i mean i am not against the queen i really like her. However i think that having a monarch is a really outdated way of running the country and we could do with a change.

communism

i believe that communism is a great idea. It will make the world more equal and narrow the gap between the rich and poor but, however great an idea communism is, it has already been proven that it doesnt work. From the failur of Russia. we could however become more of a socailst country. this would benefit the whole country. however this will not happen whilst we are living in a capatlist country where everybody is out for themselves.

Make poverty history

the other night i was lying on my bed thinking, how comes people live in poverty and how comes nothing seems to be changing. when there was a protest in edinbrugh i was like yeah, i have to go. So i went there with a small group. It was really great and i felt as if i had made a difference, however now i don't see any change and i felt as if it was a let down. what can we do as a community to change this and actually help the poor countries in our world.
